Our Story
ROUND OF APAWS was born in November 2023 from a simple yet profound realisation during our hands-on training sessions with our two beloved personal dogs. As dedicated pet enthusiasts, we quickly identified a significant gap in the market for healthier, high-value treats for dogs that could effectively support training and everyday rewards without compromising on quality and your dogs health. Drawing inspiration and expert guidance from one of our seasoned canine instructors, we embarked on an exciting journey to fill this void. Starting humbly in our home kitchen, we repurposed an old oven into a makeshift dehydrator and dedicated countless hours to experimenting, refining recipes, and perfecting our craft. This trial-and-error process allowed us to develop a lineup of delicious, single-ingredient dehydrated dog treats that our dogs—and soon, many others—couldn't get enough of. Fueled by positive feedback and growing demand for natural dog treats, we expanded our operations rapidly. Today, with a spacious dedicated cooking area, four state-of-the-art dehydrators and a biltong dryer, we produce a wide variety of premium dog treats on a larger scale, all while staying true to our roots in homemade-style preparation.
